Helpful Hints for Introductions
Introductions are one of the most exciting moments of your event! It is a time for you to show off your married selves post-ceremony and jump right into the action!
Introductions will of course include the bride and groom but any additional guests introduced is at your discretion.
Some couples choose to introduce only themselves or only themselves and their Maid of Honor/Best Man or maybe they introduce their bridesmaids and groomsman each in a group together. Its all up to you!
Here is a sample of introductions, done in the typical order.

- Introduction of Grandparents (often this is done by honoring them at their seats)
- Introduction of Parents of Bride & Groom (usually Bride's parents followed by Groom's parents)
- Ring Bearer and Flower Girls and/or Junior Bridesmaids and Groomsmen (if you have these)
- Bridesmaids and Groomsmen (obviously there may be more than one pair)
- Best Man and Maid/Matron of Honor
- Bride & Groom!
Introduction Music
Introductions are typically done with energetic background music for your group to walk into the reception. You can choose one song or a variety of songs for each group. Here's a breakdown of examples:
- One song for everyone's entrance.
- One song for everyone's else's entrance except the Bride & Groom have their own song.
- One song for Grandparents/Parents (or just Parents), one song for the bridal party and one song for the Bride & Groom.
- Each group being introduced has their own song.
Keep in mind....
- Most introductions per pair or group only last about 10-20 seconds depending on the layout of the venue.
- If you give us individual songs per entrance we will find the best part of the song to play.
- If you're feeling lost about music ask for songs from your bridal party and parents! They may have some input and a fun idea to go along with their intro.
